Origin of Country Roads BBQ.
The story of Country Roads begins with Scott Phair. In his earlier years, he was a member of the United States Marine Corps, where he traveled the world and experienced a wide variety of cultures. During the summer of xx, he was in DC for the 4th of July. Shortly after the fireworks, he met a young women named Jill McCauley (aka Jill Phair). After the corps, he worked in tech for several years, followed by decades of work in the food industry.
In 2012, Scott Phair founded Mountaineer BBQ. The first store was located in Triadelphia, West Virginia. He later moved the business to a food truck in Dallas Pike, where his daughter Kelly Phair began to help. With years of culinary experience, she helped create new recipes, and introduced new flavors to the menu. In 2017, his son Kyle Phair graduated from WVU with a degree in business. Kyle used his education to implement a new business plan and marketing strategy.
After several sessions of brainstorming, the official name was changed to Country Roads BBQ. The business moved from Dallas Pike to 56 Carmel Road, Wheeling, West Virginia.
The current Goal of Country Roadsoffer the highest quality BBQ in the state of West Virginia
